Samuel Strong, O'Donnell's Palms (PLACES 2023)

This image was shot one sunny morning in St Kilda. Walking through O'Donnell Gardens, I looked up and sensed there was a shot there. Luna Park can be seen in the background and the Edge Water Towers (Melbourne's oldest residential high rise) is framed in between two trees. I liked the way the light was hitting the trees, really showing the texture of the bark and for a moment, I felt like I was in some sort of urban rainforest.
