The smoke from recent bushfires at Jasper unfortunately made visibility too low for boat cruises to continue on the normally beautiful and picturesque Maligne Lake. The boats lay dormant waiting for the wind to change direction and to take the smoke haze with it so they could resume their duties of taking visitors out onto this famous panoramic lake.
