Theresa Lee, Naturally Nestled (ANIMALS 2024)

While resting I was able to get very close to this female Mallard duck on shore. Photographing her from a very low angle enabled me to compose her nestled among the mountainous backdrop of picturesque Queenstown, New Zealand. In monochrome I love how this image takes on a faded quality, reminiscent of the old drawings and photographs from New Zealand's natural history.
