A unique schooling model on the mid-north New South Wales coast provides services like on-site childcare enabling young mothers, like Tae-Arleigh, to keep studying whilst juggling parenthood. Her home town of Kempsey is a proud and culturally rich community, but one that grapples with social disadvantage. Education is a key factor in tackling social issues, and without schools like this one, young mothers miss out. When I learned of Macleay Vocational College’s Mums and Bubs program, I was inspired to document their impactful work.
