With the foreground shaded from the early light by the small grass covered bank on the right and the far background a curtain of dark trees it just left the mid distance to be lit by the very early sunrise. It lit up the mist that was rising from the lake surface and gave the pelicans a mystical look. Black and white conversion with Tonality CK using High Contrast Portrait preset.
