The Mistletoe Day Moth Caterpillar (Comocrus behri) rears up, lifting its head and thorax to appear larger and more threatening. This image was created using a Panasonic DMC-GX7 camera, with Olympus M.60 F2.8 Macro lens and focus stacking of 7 images at f/2.8. The black and white conversion highlights the patterns and features of this beautiful caterpillar. Taken on 1st Feb, 2025 in Ngunnawal Country.
