Millionaire Castaway David Glasheen (82). A former successful businessman, David lost his massive fortune during the 1987 economic crash. He then decided to ‘drop out’ and lead a decades long solitary life on tiny Restoration Island off the coast of Cape York Peninsula northern Australia living off of coconuts and the fruits of the sea. Recently he was forced to leave the island following a heart attack and I made this image after his release from hospital and during his recovery. Whilst alone on the island he penned a best selling book 'Millionaire Castaway'.
