This image was taken from an underground hide at 2am in the morning in Kenya. I could scarcely believe my eyes as not one, but six lions materialised from the darkness to drink from this waterhole. Two lionesses and their four cubs took their place side by side in a perfect line up. They were so close I could hear every slurp of water. I dared not breathe for fear of spooking them. But although they could sense our presence, they still confidently drank their fill of water before disappearing once more into the darkness of night to continue their hunt. It was truly one of the most precious wildlife moments I have been privileged to witness.
