Decaying tree - southern tablelands NSW - dawn mist. Trees are sporadically left on grazing landscapes providing occasional shade for livestock and erosion control but are traditionally left isolated so their lives are lead in difficult 'unnatural' conditions. When one dies, the remains serve prominently as monuments to the broader problems of our agrarian landscape yet also as hotspots of biodiversity and should be left in place.
