This is a portrait of Maryam Zahid, the founder of Afghan Women on the Move. After escaping the Taliban for a better life in Australia she wanted to create an organisation that seeks to empower the community to make the lives of women better, every day. She wanted to showcase in this image that women in Afghanistan have no voice and no rights, but still not forgotten.
