Late afternoon in Ndutu, Tanzania and we were running late for camp when this regal lion stirred. In one fluid motion he sat up and gave is mane a mighty shake - each movement full of raw power and presence. Just a few seconds and the moment was gone. Pure luck. Perfectly timed.
