Kate Flowers, Making a splash (PEOPLE 2022)

This is a portrait of my son who jumps into life fully and completely. He trusts his body and his ability to do almost anything. While I'm on the cautious side, he loves jumping into waterholes and the exhilaration of living in that moment. I love the effect of the bubbles, and the way his body is suspended in the water at that very moment - which is actually quite graceful and in a way looks like underwater ballet.
