Jayden Thomson, Lost World of Hegra (PLACES 2023)

Eerily quiet desert landscape of the newly discovered civilisation and the pristine sandstone chiselled tombs of Hegra, in Alula, Saudi Arabia, are slowly being discovered by the world. These stark monuments were built over 2000 years ago by the enigmatic desert Nabatean kingdom, who also built Petra in Jordan. Hegra laid undisturbed for millennia and those who have had the privilege to walk amongst and marvel, know they are amongst the very few.
