Scott Fisher, Looking down at Lake King (PLACES 2026)

A bewildering vertical drone shot of the road beside Lake King in WA. The road divides a salt crusted lake and one still drying. The brightness of the salt distorts the viewers perception and provides an illusory horizon, much like the heat haze on the lakes at ground level. Tracks and a branch change their nature and enter the metaphorical sky as sun and birds, while the road intrigues and the darker lower half provides the brain a foreground. The landscape out here is constantly beguiling while appearing exactly the same day to day.
