This is a 35mm black and white film photo of Wiradjuri Elder Robert Clegg, part of a triptych of three portraits of Uncle Robert photographed during the filming of a documentary about the Wiradjuri concept of 'Yindyamarra, winhanganha' filmed on location in and around Parkes. Uncle Robert shows us how we can all be mindful of our surroundings, pass on knowledge and how we can embody respect in our day-to-day lives. He states "look up, look down and look around". Here he points to the Earth reminding us to watch where we step, to remember "the past, the present and the future". Slow down and respect our Earth. We must see with our ears and listen with our eyes.
