Sue Chick, Little Egret - Umbrella (ANIMALS 2022)

The image captures the dramatic moment of impact, as the Little Egret hunting for breakfast, struck at it's prey of fish in the river shallows. A species known to frantically dart about in pursuit of prey, I handheld my gear, tracking these fast movements in the hope of capturing behaviour shots. Conversion to Black and White.
