Melissa Platt, Light, Interrupted (PLACES 2026)

'Light, Interrupted' - Wilde Soul Light arrives, but not uninterrupted. It is broken by form, by presence, by a silhouette that refuses to dissolve into morning. Suspended between night and day, the scene holds a pause, a moment where illumination is delayed, shaped, and momentarily denied. The dark does not retreat easily; it stands watch, absorbing the first reach of the sun without surrender. This image is not about arrival, but resistance. Not about motion, but restraint. Light is present, yet altered. It's certainty interrupted by something that remains.
