Patrick Marion, Learning to live alone again (PEOPLE 2021)
Terry suddenly found himself alone after his wife of sixty years, lost her short battle with Alzheimer’s. Not one to complain or seek assistance from anyone, he has been dealing with his grief the best he can. I followed him for a few weeks while he went about his daily routine. I was able to capture some images which I think sum up his lonely existence. At 86 he is fortunately in good health but rarely goes anywhere as he prefers his own company. I hope that my presence over the last few weeks brought him some distraction to his otherwise very quiet and lonely life.
