JENNI ELMES, Lake Colac. Victoria (PLACES 2021)

Every day I draw, paint and write about the lake in my home town from my car. On Thursday 10th June 2020 I wrote. Cold at Lake Colac 9.52am The foreground is of interesting movement of 6 black ducks, maybe 7. They come from the reeds in a cluster, then glide in different directions to the flow of gentle waves. As if they really have no direction. They let the current of water guide them along. Then they are not to be seen from my window screen vision. A pelican has glided by with the same ease of wave direction. Let the water guide me attitude. With nature will provide for me. All is still. Man and dog walk confidently by. He gently guides the dog, really no need to at all. Old man goes for a walk with walking stick. 10.26am
