Helen Repacholi, Kangaroo (ANIMALS 2023)

While driving through Winton Wetlands towards sunset, I slowly approached a mob of kangaroos grazing along the side of the track. This 'back lit' male, stood out from the others. We looked at each other; I slowly lifted my camera and he allowed me to photograph his massive body, unperturbed. And as he continued to chew on the grass already in his mouth, I was able to capture the crinkle in his lips !
