This is a portrait of my sister Jura, named after the Isle of Jura in Scotland. She is a confident, boisterous and loving toddler. She is the only one of us who has inherited our father’s curly hair (and attitude, too). We are 23 years of age apart. This is one of a series of portraits I captured on my 24 Rapid Minolta film camera. Here, Jura is seen dancing her way up the porch steps towards her mother, Maiko.
