This deceased shy albatross was discovered near Berry Bay on Yorke Peninsula. It had been banded as a fledgling 13 months earlier on Albatross Island in Bass Strait, Tasmania, by THE NRE ALBATROSS AND PETREL PROGRAM and the ABBBS and had travelled 906km. The shy albatross can live for 40-60 years.
