Tony Sernack, Jaguar, Pantanal, Brazil (ANIMALS 2026)

We knew that a jaguar was nearby but where? It was early in the morning. We had travelled up the river at before dawn and into the web of waterways that make up Brazil’s Pantanal wetlands. Fairly low light as we peered into the thick jungle. All of a sudden, this beautiful animal silently emerged from the gloom.
