Steven Genesin, Into the Light (PLACES 2024)

The Cathedral Caves in the South Island, NZ are only accessible when the tides are low enough for walkers to venture into these great stone enclosures. If you are lucky enough to be present when there are few people it seems the whole place is yours alone. In this image I encouraged my partner to walk into the light so that I could capture the cave with a sense of its enormity.
