Heather Markland, Into the forest (PLACES 2026)

Spotted gum trees line the path around Lysterfield Lake, Victoria. I chose to shoot this image in monochrome, using intentional camera movement, as I felt that it invited the viewer into the space, and at the same time felt slightly dark and foreboding.
