Karen McNally, Heads or Tails (ANIMALS 2024)

In the calm waters along the coastal temperate rainforest of British Columbia, a pod of humpback whales came by the inlet and stayed a few days to feed. It was challenging with drizzly, dark autumn conditions and wet weather gear was needed. It was a treat to capture the spray of a whale spout and the cascading water off a whale's tail in the same frame.
