Amanda Thatcher, Hanging About (ANIMALS 2024)

Flying foxes first appeared in Adelaide in 2010. Due to rought conditions and habitat loss it drove them out of NSW and Victoria. They now gather in a single, enormous colony at Botanic park, right in front of Adelaide Zoo. There are about 46,000 bats in this colony. This is a photograph I took of one of the bats.
