Living in Harrington on the Mid Coast of NSW, pelicans are part of the everyday landscape. I was drawn to the pelican’s stillness — the way it held itself with patience and composure, perfectly at ease in its environment. By isolating the subject and working in black and white, I wanted to remove distractions and focus on shape, texture, and expression.
