Sarsha Rinkovec, Ghost Elephant (ANIMALS 2024)
In Etosha National Park Namibia, the "Ghost Elephants" are famous worldwide as they spray white clay mud and dust over their bodies to control heat and insects, creating the "ghosting" effect. There are three large male elephants that travel in a coalition and are gentle giants dominating the landscape. This was one of the male elephants eating grass and gently flapping his enormous ears to circulate air over his body to cool down in the heat of the day.
