This isn't a mountain, it's erosion on a wall of ice - probably no taller than 14m or so. The 800km-wide face of the Ross Ice Shelf is continually being blasted by East Antarctica's extreme weather conditions, and in some places the elements are carving miniature alpine frescos: naturally etched homages to the nearby Erebus volcano and TransAntarctic mountains. This pic was taken from the deck of the ship as we sailed across the Ross Sea.
