Phil Flanagan , Folded wings that used to fly. (PLACES 2026)
A beautiful figurine as a headstone in the Naseby cemetery, a small town in Central Otago born in the Goldrush of 1865. The figurine is of a young lady holding a very young child. A sad story, Margaret lived in the Goldfields and her two year old son (Lawrence) drowned in a local river. I can only imagine the figurine is of Margaret holding Lawrence. I can't help reflect on how heart broken Margaret was. The Sky this particular day was exactly as you see it.
