I found some flowers and wanted to experiment by placing them on my daughter’s face, as I thought they could be interesting in black and white. I love the visual interest they create and the way she gazes out seriously from within a frame of white flowers. The texture of the black garment she wears adds another layer — it’s quite mature, contrasting beautifully with the childlike innocence of the flowers. She feels caught between these two worlds. My beautiful daughter, growing up so quickly.
