Glassy, iceberg in the shape of a fish with bubbles called convection. Convection plays a role in iceberg melting, particularly through the formation of meltwater plumes and the movement of these plumes along the iceberg's sides. When an iceberg melts in seawater, the resulting meltwater is less dense than the surrounding seawater and rises, creating convection currents. These convection currents can carry heat from the ocean into the iceberg, accelerating its melting process.
