A grey-headed flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus) takes flight between native trees whose dense foliage shelters hundreds of others, hanging suspended in the colony. A threatened species, it plays a vital role in pollination and seed dispersal across eastern Australian forests. Location: Warriewood Wetlands
