Janice Terrill, Eye contact with a juvenile wedge tailed eagle (ANIMALS 2024)

On a recent trip to Carnarvon Gorge National Park, I came across this juvenile wedge tailed eagle perched in a tree next to the road. I was able to take over 80 images from the car and it was still in the tree when I drove away. I also saw several groups riding the thermals. It must have been a good day for youngsters to practice their flying skills.
