Andrea Harper, Explosive (PLACES 2021)

This was taken at Brown's beach in South Australia around midday in July of 2020. I'd bought a second hand Canon EOS Mark III after starting photography in Dec 2019 with an M50. The Mark III represented some progress for me but I hadn't factored on being completely engulfed and knocked onto my back, camera in hand, by this wave a second after taking this shot. The camera's sensor was covered in salt water and useless for any further shooting that weekend. Happy to say my new lens survived though. Handheld at 1/250sec, f/13, ISO 100, EF 16-35mm f4L IS USM.
