xiaohui wang, eternal of love (PEOPLE 2021)

I took this image in a museum surrounded by dim light. At first, I find this older man standing next to his wife in a wheelchair interesting and decides to take a picture of this old couple. Suddenly, a young man walks into my viewfinder. As I hesitated for an instant to react to this destruction of my initial composition of the photo, a girl runs across me and bumps into that young man's back, cuddling together. I capture this photo in such a rush that I didn't realise the photo was a little bit off focus. All those coincidences that made everything come together had created a surreal atmosphere with two couples at different life stages. Where the young couple is more observable and enthusiastic in their actions, and the old couple is more obscure and conservative.
