Heather Beswick, Endangered Descent (ANIMALS 2026)
Carnaby's Cockatoo are endangered and endemic to Western Australia. The most northern population is found in the Midwest to the East of Kalbarri at Murchison House Station. I volunteer to monitor two seasonal populations in the Midwest, one in the Chapman Valley and the other at Murchison House Station. I am always humbled by their presence as they are charismatic, family orientated and create endless happiness in my heart ....... true heart melters..... what could be better .... being one with nature and surrounded by the endless chatter of the very special Carnaby's Cockatoo.
