Bronwen Casey, Emerging From The Waves (PLACES 2021)

This photo was taken at Bells Beach, Victoria very early in the morning. The forecast that morning was for great waves at this well known surf beach but the waves were disappointing. One of the surfers emerges from the waves and walks up the beach. Backlit by the rising sun he casts a long shadow on the glistening sand.
