Dean Prowd, Emergence (PLACES 2021)

While holidaying on the Goldcoast in Queensland we had a few days of torrential rain and flooding. I headed to Mick Schamburg Park around 4am‬ in the hope that the weather was clearing. When I arrived the scene was totally surreal and It felt like I was surrounded by ice, the sea foam extended all the way up and down the coast. The buildings of Surfers Paradise are visible in the background. Not long after I had finished shooting the foam had completely washed away.
