Richard Oborn, Emergence: from the darkness memories of existence (PLACES 2025)

In the darkness of a crypt under an old but grand church, these two marker stones stood in mute memorial to the lives of two local worthies. But for the fall of the light they would have been lost to my attention, along with other such memorials, in the gloom of the surroundings. Yet these people clearly wanted to be remembered by virtue of these memorials. I found it poignant that I found these people's existence by the chance of the time of day.
