Sheila Peake, Dune Texture (PLACES 2026)
The Namibian Desert provides an impressive backdrop for the interplay of light and shade on textures of the sand, sky and vegetation. Spanning impressive heights, the dunes are their own microcosm of light and shade patterns regardless of time of day. Dunes within dunes, with textures from underlying rock and wind-swept grooves provides a landscape unconquered by man, an intangible feeling connecting us to how small we really are in the scheme of planet earth.
