Ngaire Hart, Drake Passage Antartica (PLACES 2024)

When you cross the Drake Passage to get to Antartica you either get the Drake Lake, calm crossing when we had on the way over or the Drake Shake. This occured on the way back, left day early to cross the passage to avoid the worst of the storm but still had 10.5 metre waves during one night, thus experiencing the Drake Shake. Staying in the cabin was our only option as was too rough.
