Monique Couvee, Diamonds for her (ANIMALS 2024)

It was at the end of a long day of hiking around in the mud and rain in the Lakes District, England. My boots either stuck in the mud or slipped on the saturated rocks. My usually positive attitude was slowly waning and my camera gear was saturated. Motivation was at an all time low. But then I saw these beautiful spiderwebs, the dreary weather made them more pronounced and they sparkled like diamonds in the light. Its dont recall alot about that day with the exception of that one glimpse of natures delicate beauty and thats what stayed with me.
