James Jian Cui, Deer in the Shrine (ANIMALS 2023)

Picture was taken in the Todaiji Temple which is one of Japan's most historically temples . The temple is also well know for deers live freely inside. In such a holy place, when the deer looked at me with light shined on, it created an illusion for me that deer was presented from heaven.
