Sitting quietly on the banks of the local lake on a very hot day with my camera I captured this sweet moment of a cockatoo landing on a branch for a refreshing drink. The heat created this shimmer on the water that looks like I have edited it, but it is as I shot it. I was happy to capture the drips of water from the mouth and the slight blur showing movement of the head as it tilts upwards. The reflection of the bird and the twigs are natural balance of harmony and pattern.
