Lorenzo Passalacqua, Collapse (PLACES 2026)

Created in-camera using a slow shutter speed and shutter drag, Collapse captures the sea at the edge of release. The wave rises, folds and gives way in a rush of blurred force, transforming water into gesture. Reduced to monochrome, the scene becomes less a record of the ocean and more a study of tension, rhythm and impermanence.
