Cluster emerged from Vintage 2025, a body of work that explored legacy, labour and authorship through fashion, textiles and image-making in the Riverina. Originally conceived as part of a larger visual system, this work isolates a single moment of density and pressure, a grape cluster at the edge of transformation. Rendered in black and white and translated onto textile, the image shifts away from documentation and towards material presence: surface, repetition, and weight. Re-situated here, Cluster speaks to themes of roots and reflection not as nostalgia, but as accumulation, what forms through time, proximity and care.
