Matthew Tuffield, City Streets (PLACES 2022)

The availability of travel and holidaying has personally been a rarity over the past couple years, with good reason. Covid put a halt to holidaying and exploring new territories; opening my eyes and my camera shutter to new architecture. But being placed in a metaphorical box is not such a bad thing as it forces us to think outside the box. In the absence of travel, I forced myself to explore and wonder the city streets of Brisbane, and then eventually Sydney. I found more that I knew existed in my own home city, and even more unique attributes and beauty in Sydney. This profile is just a small snippet of what I was able to capture in my home town of Brisbane, and Sydney in the past year.
