Richard Goodwin, Choice of Identity (PEOPLE 2026)

Bob Charteris is playwright, repertory theatre director, actor, journalist, family historian, model railway builder and music collector. Bob and I are fellow writers and researchers with a shared background in media and corporate roles. Our friendship extends back 30 years. Our regular conversations invariably draw on the range of Bob’s interests and pursuits. Meeting up I’m always anticipating his revelations, hence the way I’ve captured him in this portrait.
